Provides limited coverage for Albertans temporarily out-of-country. Residents who will be absent from Alberta for more than 6 months must contact an Alberta Health and Wellness office before leaving to ensure their AHCIP coverage is maintained. Purchase of travel health insurance is recommended for all trips regardless of length of absence. |
